Almost August

I know my blogging has been fairly pathetic as of late, but it's summer;  I've been super lazy, not very introspective or profound, am I ever?  And just really not having a lot to say, tired and just doing a lot of nothing.  I just figure sometimes we need days with no agenda, no projects, watching movies in the afternoon if we feel like it, eating ice cream for dinner if we want, sleeping in late, although that has NOT been happening near enough!  Days when it doesn't matter that I haven't washed the floors since before we went on holidays, and that there are weeds taking over some places.  And this is our first summer since we've lived here that we don't have any company coming!  Really what is with that?  Come on Albertans!

I do want to send you some Oregon love from the real photographers in the family.  Things that are beautiful in nature make me so happy!

Panties

A girl needs a good pair of panties.  A friend of mine posted this on HIS (yes I'm a bit concerned) facebook wall and I got a kick out of it.  She grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan and sings about how difficult it is to find a good pair, unless you have a Bargain Shop, which we do have - think dollar store, but messier. Good for a weekend giggle.

A Thousand Gifts

Oregon or Bust!

Our family is home from a whirlwind tour of Oregon, the coast mainly.  It's been years since we've been that way, and we decided it would be a great destination for holidays this year.  And it was! We had fantastic weather (for there) til our very last day.  It was sunny and clear, often it's cloudy and rainy, so we took full advantage.  The water wasn't warm for swimming, except by Jacob who will go in anything, he's a true Alberta boy at heart, even though he's never lived there.  My favorite quote from him this trip was, "It's like a brain freeze on my feet", only to find him fully boogie boarding later the same day.  I'm linking you to my facebook photo page for photos, there are too many good ones to try uploading with blogger. 
It`s good to be home to a washing machine, clean dishes (not just `camping clean`) and a soft bed, but we have a camera and mind full of wonderful memories!
